Specializing in ATV/UTV Instructor - Trainer Courses
We also offer custom corporate training of employees with a one day ATV or UTV Student Course
We will come to you!
Defensive Driving Student Course (DDC)
The ATV, and UTV instructor courses are five days in length each if done separately.
Instructors will receive materials and learn about teaching techniques, range management, coaching, evaluation, and administration duties. They will have a number of course assignments, micro-teaching assignments and knowledge tests throughout the week. The final course component is the candidates teaching other students on the last day of the course (there is no extra cost to certify these students).
Qualifying instructor candidates will receive a certificate and be registered with the Canada Safety Council.
Extra charges may apply for travel and accommodations depending on location.
Note: The UTV course can be instructed with two people sharing a single machine, as long as they get equal time and experience on the handling portion of the course.
Want to certify as both an ATV and UTV Instructor??? We have a course for that too! Give us a call for information on our eight day combined course for new instructors.
Already Certified as an ATV or UTV Instructor?
Attend a three day upgrade course to obtain dual certification.
ATV STUDENT RIDER
This is a one day course in the safe use of an ATV or UTV
Completion of this course has become mandatory in many major companies for employees and sub-contracted personnel who use an ATV on the job site.
The curriculum, which is based on field-tested techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper ATV operation.
The course covers a range of topics such as pre-ride inspection, controls, riding strategies, turning riding circles, emergency stops and swerves, winching, loading, and securing.
UTV STUDENT RIDER
This is a one day course based on field-tested techniques.
Completion of this course has become mandatory in many major companies for employees and sub-contracted personnel who use a UTV on the job site.
A UTV is designed to be a safe vehicle when used as intended. The key to safe operation is recognizing and accepting it as a motorized vehicle; respecting its capabilities and limitations.
Participants in either of these courses must provide a registered and insured machine. All vehicles must pass a pre-course inspection the morning of the course. Participants must be wearing proper riding gear, over the ankle boots, helmet with visor or safety goggles.
NOTE: For the UTV course two people can share a vehicle but they will also share the operating time.
Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the course.
Traffic Collisions are preventable...
Have your employees complete the Defensive Driving Course (DDC) and joined the ranks of the most safety-conscious drivers on the road.
Do you or your employees drive a company vehicle or your own vehicle on the job? If so, driving is a matter of occupational safety.
Reducing the number of collisions will help control insurance costs - and safe drivers lose less time from work. DDC is designed to teach your employees (and their family members) how to drive safely.
Course materials are fully integrated to suit different learning styles and accommodate learners with disabilities. Material is present so it is easily understood.
Course consists of:
Registrants will receive a certificate on completion of the course.
